The City of Regina is in the process of completing a Downtown Transportation Study. The study team is hosting a second public open house to present the findings of the study to date. This includes a summary of input from the public and stakeholders as well as an overview of the preliminary assessment of alternatives for 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue including City Square Plaza.

The overall objective of the study is to identify and evaluate options to improve conditions for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, automobiles and delivery vehicles. It is being conducted in three phases:

Phase 1 examined the operational challenges and opportunities, identified short term improvements for the 11th and 12th Avenue corridors and whether or not to make the closure to vehicles on City Square plaza permanent.

Phases 2 & 3 will expand the analysis to include a larger area of downtown and will identify improvements for the short, medium and longer term.
