As of April 1, 2026, the Regina Street Team will be stewarded by the YWCA Regina on an interim basis while the City of Regina determines a permanent home for the program. We expect the Regina Street Team to remain fully operational and will continue delivering its services without interruption.

The program was established by RDBID in 2021 as the Downtown Community Support Program.  The Community Support Program was created to respond to non-emergent wellbeing needs within Downtown Regina. As the program evolved and expanded, it became known as the Regina Street Team.

Over the years, demand for the Regina Street Team increased.  As such, the program grew significantly in both scope and reach.  The Regina Street Team now supports individuals and addresses situations throughout the city, extending well beyond RDBID’s original mandate and scope.

On behalf of our downtown community, we would like to acknowledge our many partners who have believed in and contributed to the success of the Regina Street Team Program.  Special thanks go out to the City of Regina, the Regina Police Service, the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, and the Government of Canada. 

Since 2021, the Regina Street Team has served as an important resource for our community. We are very proud of their accomplishments and wish them continued success as they carry on the work that they do with the YWCA.
