Learn about Indigenous hand games and traditional stick games from artist Tianna Delorme. This is a hands-on workshop, sutable for all ages! Schedule: 2:00pm Workshop – Storytelling : The story about hand games, where it came from, and why we play it and how it is made. 2:20pm Workshop – Learning to play, practice rounds, 2:50pm – Playing Hand Games: Participants will now play hand games! We are putting the spotlight on the fresh young talent in our city! Join us for a performance by FadaDance Youth Company, who will be performing two works from their upcoming “Welcome to the Jungle” event. Spoken word artist Carly Bear will share two of her works, powerful stories about growing up in Regina’s North Central neighbourhood. Finally, the bands will take the stage with performances by the Tracy Waters Band, The Whats and Endless Retirement. The mosh pit/dance floor will be ready for you! All performers are between 13 and 19 years of age.
