We may know a thing or two about putting on a great FREE movie night, so we thought we’d SHOOT for 5! In collaboration with The Fat Badger, O’Hanlons Irish Pub and Regina Public Library – Film Theatre, we have a selection of hockey classics sure to SCORE big with hockey fans! 

CELEBRATE HOCKEY: THE SASKATCHEWAN SPORTS HALL OF FAME WINDOW DISPLAY, CORNWALL CENTRE 

The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame pay tribute to the sport of hockey, featuring artifacts and text that highlights individual hockey inductees who played in the National Hockey League. The window display is available on the upper level of the Cornwall Centre, beside the 11th Avenue pedway entrance.

Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Game: Women in Sport Panel 

Join the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame (SSHF) and the Civic Museum of Regina, as they celebrate Women’s History Month, with their Women in Sport Panel. The panel will feature three SSHF inductees. The discussion will be wide-ranging but focus primarily on how sport has shaped their lives, how we can encourage emerging female athletes, and the state of women’s sports on a local and professional level.

 In collaboration with REAL, we are thrilled to host a free outdoor Hockey Week Pancake Breakfast on City Square Plaza. Breakfast will begin at 8:30AM, while supplies last. Head down to the plaza and have pancakes with members of the Regina Pats organization and the Mayor!

Pick-up Game

Spend your lunch or afternoon playing street hockey on City Square Plaza! Grab your hockey stick and fellow colleagues for an office pick-up game. No registration required – first-come basis. Self-officiated, please wear appropriate game attire.

Keep yourself fueled up with a toonie STICKS BBQ lunch! A $2.00 BBQ lunch includes a hot dog or hamburger, and a drink. Tickets will be available to purchase on location, cash only. All proceeds will be donated to Shine On Foundation.

STICKS Ball Hockey Tournament 

City Square Plaza

Stantec is proud to announce a special edition STICKS. The community-run Street Hockey Classic you have all come to know is moving down the street to City Square Plaza. This year marks the 12th year for the event. This single day ball hockey tournament features local corporate teams, pre-registration is required. To register, or for more information please visit www.sticksregina.ca. All proceeds will be donated to Shine On Foundation.

Grab your hockey stick and join us on City Square Plaza! Six outdoor street hockey rinks will be filled with family-friendly activities, including areas to test your hockey skills, a chance to play life-sized table top hockey, a kids zone, games, hockey crafts, a visit from the Regina Pats mascot K9, and more! Before you head to the big game, stop by and get your hair and face painted to show your support for your favourite team.

Don’t have tickets to the game? Join us outside at the big screen on F.W. Hill Mall to watch the Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Edmonton Eskimos at 5PM, followed by the 2019 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™: Winnipeg Jets vs. Calgary Flames at 8PM. Dress warm and show off your favourite sports team jersey! Limited seating available, please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Concession will be available onsite, selling popcorn and pop for $2.00 each.

FREE Downtown Mosaic Stadium Shuttle Service

11th Avenue & Hamilton Street

Saskatchewan Drive & Hamilton Street

The FREE downtown Mosaic Stadium Shuttle Service will start at 5:45PM and run until 7:45PM. You can catch the shuttle downtown at 11th Avenue and Hamilton Street, or Saskatchewan Drive and Hamilton Street. The return shuttle service will start back up during the third period.
