What is a “Virtual Festival” and how do I attend?

A “Virtual Festival” happens online through social media or other online platforms such as YouTube. Attendees watch festival content on their own device from the safety of their home.

The festival lineup above outlines when video content will be released each day. You can find the videos on Regina Downtown Business Improvement District’s Facebook, Instagram or YouTube channels.

Are the videos ONLY available at the time they are released or can I watch them at a later time/date?

All videos will be available through Regina Downtown Business Improvement District’s social media channels and on YouTube. Therefore, you can watch them at the time of release on social media or anytime afterwards on YouTube.

*Please note: the Christmas Tree Lighting event will be streaming LIVE on Facebook and therefore cannot be watched at a later date.

I usually attend the Christmas Tree Lighting downtown on Scarth Street. Can I come in-person to watch?

Unfortunately, we must ask you to stay home this year and not come to watch the Christmas Tree Lighting event in-person. Alternatively, we will be LIVESTREAMING the Christmas Tree Lighting event on our Facebook channel on Thursday, November 26th from 6-7 PM.

You can find more details about this virtual event, including how to watch from home, on Facebook.

Alternatively, many stores are offering online, curbside pick up and delivery options. Find details about all your favourite stores, including hours and ways to shop here.

As a result of COVID-19, stores are operating under many new Provincial restrictions. Before coming downtown, please read through our steps to stay safe while supporting local businesses here.

Remember, as of November 6th, it is mandatory to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces, including transit.
